If your looking to darken up your do for winter, but are not ready to commit to an extreme change, this is a nice way to transition any lighter color softly so print this out and give it to your stylist now. Here's a good way to explain it to your stylist: "Hi there, my name is (INSERT NAME HERE) I'd like to make my hair look awesome. I'm leaning towards a golden brown level 5 base with level 7 dark golden blonde highlights weaved mainly around my face. I'd like to stay away from red tones and focus more on the warmth in golden tones. Thank you." Who this color works for. The good news is a lot of different skin shades can pull this color off. Those of you with more cool skin tones would be excellent canadites however. We'll get into how to determine your skin tone and coloring in another post but for now a good way to tell is what colors do you tend to ware more of, is it navy, greens and purples? if so your probably more cool toned.
