Warm up winter with this:

I. Love. This. Color. I think it is the perfect combination of chest-nutty browns with light golden brown ribbons threw out. If your looking to darken up your do for winter, but are not ready to commit to an extreme change, this is a nice way to transition any lighter color softly so print this out and give it to your stylist now. Here's a good way to explain it to your stylist: "Hi there, my name is (INSERT NAME HERE) I'd like to make my hair look awesome. I'm leaning towards a golden brown level 5 base with level 7 dark golden blonde highlights weaved mainly around my face. I'd like to stay away from red tones and focus more on the warmth in golden tones. Thank you." Who this color works for. The good news is a lot of different skin shades can pull this color off. Those of you with more cool skin tones would be excellent canadites however. We'll get into how to determine your skin tone and coloring in another post but for now a good way to tell is what colors do you tend to ware more of, is it navy, greens and purples? if so your probably more cool toned.

Here we go. I have talked about starting a blog all about things beauty for a long time now. I have even tried it. Unsuccessfully. Yet, here I am again. What makes me think I can stick to it and make this blog a fun and useful read? One word: Passion. I love what I do. I am always talking about it so its about time I have a place to talk about it whenever I want. Here's my vision for this blog so we can all be on the same paige. Advice: I want to answer questions, help a sister out and give out some great tips on all things hair and beauty. Tutorials: I'm tired of trying to explain to people over the phone how to do things, (cut your own bangs, quick and easy up-do's etc) So I'm going to start doing little hair and make-up tutorials that you can use at home. Pictures: I have so many pictures that I have compiled over the years. I think I'd be nice to have a place where you can look for a specific look and I will break it down for you, or for your hairstylist on how to achieve this look. It's never easy trying to explain to a hair stylist how you want a cut, color or style so I will do it for you ladies. The list could go on and on so I will stop now. Bottom line I hope I can be helpful and this will become a place you can visit often for help and inspiration! So in the words of our late Joker from Dark Knight: " Here, we, a, go!"
